CONTRIBUTED BY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW JOY JORDAN CLEMENT
MEMORIES OF RAPHAEL CLEMENT
I am Bud's wife, Joy, and I just want to add a couple of special memories that I have of Dad Clement. He was the best Father in-law that a daughter could ever want. We daughters in-law were never treated any different than his own children. I will always be grateful for that. Special memories for me were the many trips that we took together as a family in the mountains. I especially remember the last one that he was able to take. He didn't feel well at this time but he never complained. He made our children feel so loved. He would play with them until he was tired, and then he would sit in his lawn chair and they would sit around him and he would talk to them about different things around the area that we were camping in, or he would get us all in the car and take us to the little store that was close to the campground and buy us ice cream or just any little thing.
He loved all his grandchildren very much. At this time he didn't have many but our older ones were very fortunate to have been able to spend a little time with him. I loved him very much. When he was so sick, he never complained, he just said, "I have to go through the Refiner's Fire."
